Not much is known about Nexus Siege Horde, but the trailer below shows beloved Gears of War characters duking it out with their oldest enemies, the Locust. During the trailer, players are sure to see a lot of familiar faces, but they will also notice some missing ones as well. Fans are calling for all of the Locust variations to be brought back in Gears 5 now as well.

The trailer begins with Marcus and co in a temple looking over some dead bodies, but things quickly turn sour when a horde of enemies approaches. What follows is several shots of in game combat, with lots of exploding corpses and monstrous foes. This is exactly the type of thing that Gears of War fans have been hoping to see.
At the end of the trailer, it is revealed that the Nexus Siege Horde event will run from April 13th to April 27th, and fans will be able to get some unique rewards for it as well. Most notably, the Palace Guard Weapon Set is one of the rewards, so interested players should be sure to get on and play through the event.
Gears 5 is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
