It all started when sexual assault allegations surfaced against Tyler Malka, better known as Evilore on the NeoGAF forums. This isn’t the first time that Malka’s reputation has come under fire, mind you, but it appears to be the straw that broke the camel’s back within the GAF community. As stories continued to surface, the NeoGAF mods decided it best to separate themselves from Malka and his site, which left the forum in a state of disarray....

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has told the club that he wishes to move to Real Madrid for a world record fee. Real Madrid have been pursuing Gareth Bale ever since the transfer window opened and have reportedly made an offer of £85m for him, which would make him the most expensive player in the world, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo‘s transfer fee of £80m. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has said that the 24-year-old would not be sold at any cost....

According to a contract leaked by Football Leaks, a website set up to expose murky transfer dealings, especially those involving third-party ownership, Real Madrid paid a sum in excess of €100 million to Tottenham for Bale’s services, while Ronaldo cost about €96 million. Bale’s exact fee totalled to €100,759,418, with €99,743,542 coming in installments while Madrid paid a €1,015,876 ‘solidarity’ fee. However, Real Madrid could have paid a significantly smaller sum had they paid the fee within 15 days in one payment, as the ‘spot price’ that was fixed was €91,589,842, a fee that was lesser than what Real Madrid paid for Ronaldo....

Only one day after news broke that the developer might be offering a Borderlands 2 sneak peek later this month at GamesCom 2011 (surprise, they will be), Gearbox has officially announced the sequel will be arriving in 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Detailed in a variety of posts on the Gears of War forums, players are running into a bug that doesn’t allow them to select a difficulty from within the Horde co-op lobby. Fortunately, it seems that there may be a simple fix to this, which will hopefully help Gears 5 players that are experiencing the issue. The newest piece of DLC is called Gears 5: Hivebusters, named after the popular comic book series of the same name. This expansion will have players taking on the roles of Lahni, Keegan, and Mac from the Gears 5 Escape Mode as they take on a mission as Hoffman’s newly dubbed Scorpio Squad. According to The Coalition, this campaign will be about 3 hours long, feature up to three-player co-op, and add 16 new achievements....

The latest trailer for Gears 5 gave fans a creative look at Kait Diaz and the many emotions running through her head following the revelation discovered at the end of Gears of War 4. While showing the allegiances and friendships with JD and Del, the trailer also showcases a few interesting details and a potential look at what a corrupted version of Kait may look like. In addition to the cinematic new trailer, Coalition Studio Head Rod Fergusson provided fans with a few additional details alongside the September 10, 2019 release date....

Gears 5 ends with a particularly large cliffhanger and many events to unpack in the coming sequel. Kait and the rest of her companions are effectively left in the rubble of New Ephyra following the Kraken attack with a high amount of casualties, including Jack and either JD or Del (depending on who players chose to save). First Minister Jinn wants to capture Kait and believes that she can be used to control The Swarm....
